What does vocal training look like for an adult? –

The voice training can have a few "speeds" to it, especially for adult learners. Essentially, we want to draw out as much musical talent from you as possible. The all-in or top speed may look like learning to match pitch, sing/chant some of your instrumental music, having some training in solfa (do, re, mi, fa,...), and singing songs (like hymns). The depth and speed of these skills areas can be adjusted to best fit you! We just believe these areas of training are a great way to strengthen the voice and overall musical skill.

I heard this in lessons, what does it mean?…

RH - RH is an abbreviation for the right hand. It means the music or excersise should be played with the right hand (RH)

LH - LH is an abbreviation for the left hand. It means the music or exercise should be played with the left hand (LH)

Bomb Practice - Bomb practice means playing a section of music as slow as needed in order to get the pitch and fingering perfect. “Imagine the piano is a bomb. If you play the wrong key with the wrong finger, what happens? You blow up! ): But the good news is, you have all the time in the world to get it right. No rush, no pressure.“

1 Octave (1 oct.) - An octave is the distance from one C on the piano to another C.
